Trust issues anyone? It’s probably not you.

Fostering trust involves open and transparent communication. This is not new information. But how many of us practice this?

Let’s keep the “communication” aspect away just for a bit.

Are we open and transparent to the people around us? Yes, we all want to be authentic. But is our authenticity welcomed in our circle or are we all just trying to fit in?

In an environment where we are even afraid to confront our core issues ourselves while hiding behind a facade of social appearances where does trust begin?

In an environment where fear inhibits individuals from confronting their core issues and instead encourages the maintenance of a facade of social appearances, trust may seem elusive.

The solution lies in fostering a culture of authenticity and vulnerability, both within oneself and within the broader community.

    1. Self-Reflection: Take time to reflect on your core issues, fears, and insecurities. Practice self-awareness and honesty with yourself about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

    2. Courageous Conversations: Be willing to have courageous conversations with yourself and others. Break through the facade of social appearances by addressing difficult topics openly and honestly.

    3. Create Safe Spaces: Foster environments where individuals feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable without fear of judgment or rejection. Encourage open communication, active listening, and empathy.

    4. Lead by Example: Demonstrate authenticity and vulnerability in your interactions and relationships. Model honesty, transparency, and genuine expression of emotions.

    5. Build Genuine Connections: Prioritize building meaningful connections based on trust, respect, and understanding. Invest time and effort in nurturing relationships that allow for authenticity and vulnerability to thrive.

    6. Seek Support: Reach out to trusted friends, family members, or professionals for support and guidance in addressing core issues and fostering personal growth.

    7. Practice Compassion: Cultivate compassion for yourself and others as you navigate through vulnerabilities and challenges. Recognize that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness, and that everyone struggles at times.

Trust begins with authenticity – the willingness to acknowledge and confront one’s vulnerabilities, insecurities, and core issues. It requires honesty with oneself and others, even when it feels uncomfortable or challenging. Trust also involves vulnerability – the willingness to open up and share one’s true self with others, knowing that it may not always be met with acceptance or understanding.

In a culture that prioritizes surface-level appearances over genuine connection, building trust requires breaking down barriers and fostering genuine, meaningful relationships based on mutual respect, empathy, and authenticity. It starts with individuals who are brave enough to peel back the layers of pretense and show up as their authentic selves, creating space for others to do the same. It’s a process that takes time, effort, and courage, but the rewards of authentic connection and genuine trust are invaluable.

By embracing authenticity, vulnerability, and trust, individuals can create a supportive and nurturing environment where meaningful connections can flourish, and personal growth can occur. It’s a journey that requires courage, but the rewards of genuine connection and emotional well-being are worth it.

  • What is the difference between a successful person and one who is constantly struggling?..

What is the difference between a successful person and one who is constantly struggling?..

No, it’s neither luck nor timing.

The single most crucial difference between a person who consistently succeeds in his endeavors and the one who is constantly struggling is – their ability to handle stress.

Everybody goes through stress at some point in their lives. In today’s living conditions, stress is as much a part of the lived experience…as breathing. It’s practically unavoidable.

Then why is it that some people are better at managing stress while others still struggle?

    Managing Stress – Part 1

It’s because of the body’s coping mechanism to be able to self-soothe.

Some people are just better equipped to self-soothe themselves. Maybe because of their personality, their disposition, or through the experiences they have had growing up.

But what if you fall in the other half of that demographic?

What if you practically fall prey to your stress and anxiety and turn into a molten mass every time stress triggers? Is it possible to develop and cultivate the ability to self-soothe your body and mind during times of anxiety and stress?

Certainly! With the right tools and support, one can train the mind and body to self-soothe when anxiety triggers and stress starts manifesting itself within vital faculties.

Self-soothing is indeed a valuable technique for managing stress and emotions. It involves using various strategies to comfort and calm oneself during times of distress or discomfort. This can include deep breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, engaging in enjoyable activities, or using sensory experiences like listening to music or taking a warm bath. Finding what works best for you is key to effectively self-soothing.

One very important factor that can influence how effectively a person self-soothes is their level of self-awareness.

Understanding one’s emotions, triggers, and coping mechanisms allows for more targeted and efficient self-soothing. Additionally, having a strong support system and access to resources for managing stress can also play a significant role in enhancing one’s ability to self-soothe.

Here are some ways to develop self-awareness and cultivate self-soothing mechanisms:

    1. Mindfulness Practices: Engage in mindfulness meditation, yoga, or other mindful activities to become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.

    2. Journaling: Keep a journal to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Writing can help you gain insights into patterns and triggers that contribute to stress.

    3. Self-Reflection: Set aside time for regular self-reflection to examine your values, goals, and behaviors. Ask yourself questions about what brings you joy, what causes stress, and how you respond to challenges.

    4. Seek Feedback: Ask trusted friends, family members, or mentors for feedback on your strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots. Their perspectives can offer valuable insights into areas for personal growth.

    5. Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with kindness and understanding, especially during times of stress. Practice compassionate self-talk and recognize that it’s okay to struggle sometimes.

    6. Explore Coping Strategies: Experiment with different self-soothing techniques such as deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, or engaging in hobbies and activities that bring you joy.

    7. Set Boundaries: Learn to identify and assert your boundaries in relationships and situations that contribute to stress. Saying no when necessary and prioritizing self-care can help prevent burnout.

    8. Professional Support: Consider seeking support from a therapist or counselor if you’re struggling to manage stress or develop self-awareness. A trained professional can offer guidance and tools tailored to your specific needs.

By incorporating these practices into your routine, you can gradually enhance your self-awareness and develop effective self-soothing mechanisms to handle everyday stress more effectively.

Once the body is trained to self-soothe the right faculties start working on their own during times of anxiety and trigger moments. The body’s defense mechanisms kick in and self-soothing happens pretty much involuntarily.

So in a day and age where stress is the only constant in our ever-expanding lives, why run away from it?

Every stressful experience is a lesson. So why not handle stress and learn from

    It?

Let’s deal with our stress better.

  • The Dandelion and the Dreamer: A Fable of Scarcity and Abundance

The Dandelion and the Dreamer: A Fable of Scarcity and Abundance

    AI-Generated

In a hidden valley, nestled between towering mountains, lived two families of rabbits: the Cottontails and the Burrowers. The Cottontails, led by the wizened Elder Hazel, hoarded their meager resources. They guarded their dandelion patches fiercely and viewed every mouthful as a victory snatched from the jaws of hunger. The Burrowers, under the leadership of the optimistic Pip, were a stark contrast. They shared their clover fields freely, believing there was always enough for everyone.

One particularly harsh winter, a blizzard swept through the valley, burying all edible plants under a thick blanket of snow. Despair gripped the Cottontails. Elder Hazel, his fur dull with worry, paced their dwindling stockpile. “We’ll never survive this,” he declared, his voice heavy with fear.

Across the valley, the Burrowers huddled together, their spirits surprisingly high. Pip, ever the optimist, announced, “We may not have much, but what we do have, let’s share it.” So, they pooled their dwindling carrots and turnips, each contributing what little they had. The meager feast warmed them from the inside out, and their shared laughter echoed through the valley, a beacon of hope in the desolate landscape.

One curious young Cottontail, Pipkin, drawn by the sound of merriment, ventured into the snowstorm. He stumbled upon the Burrowers, sharing their meager meal, their faces glowing with warmth. Hesitantly, Pipkin approached, his nose twitching at the unfamiliar scent of roasted carrots. Pip, noticing the young rabbit, smiled and offered him a piece.

Pipkin returned to his burrow, his heart full. He described the Burrowers’ generosity and shared the warmth of their roasted carrot. Elder Hazel, surprised by this turn of events, looked at his dwindling supplies with new eyes. “Perhaps,” he mused, “sharing isn’t such a bad idea after all.”

The next day, the Cottontails tentatively offered a portion of their dandelions to the Burrowers. Pip, overjoyed by this gesture, invited them to share their clover fields. Both families, hesitant at first, soon found themselves working together, their combined efforts yielding a bountiful harvest.

The harsh winter eventually passed, and spring brought a revitalized valley. The Cottontails and Burrowers, once divided by scarcity, now thrived in an abundance they created together. They learned that true prosperity came not from hoarding, but from sharing and that collaboration could turn even the harshest winter into a bountiful spring.

Going into Abundance: Embracing the Flow of Possibility

For many of us, life is a competition for a limited pool of resources. We view opportunities as scarce, success as zero-sum, and fear of missing out as a constant companion. This is the grip of the scarcity mindset, a belief that there’s never enough – not enough time, money, love, or happiness. But what if we flipped the script? What if we embraced an abundant mindset, one that sees the world as a place overflowing with possibilities?

The shift from scarcity to abundance is a transformative journey. It’s about recognizing that our potential is not limited by external factors, but fueled by our internal perspective. Instead of fearing competition, we celebrate the successes of others, believing that their wins create a ripple effect of abundance. We view challenges as opportunities for growth, knowing that each obstacle overcome strengthens our resolve and opens new doors.

Cultivating this mindset requires intentional practices. Gratitude is a powerful tool. By acknowledging the blessings in our lives, big and small, we shift focus from what we lack to the abundance that already surrounds us. We can practice daily affirmations, and positive statements that rewire our negative thought patterns. Instead of “I can’t afford this,” we say “I am attracting abundance into my life.”

Furthermore, the abundant mindset thrives on collaboration, not competition. We open ourselves to learning from others, sharing resources, and working together to achieve shared goals. This fosters a sense of community and belonging, enriching our lives beyond just material gain.

Shifting to an abundant mindset doesn’t negate the realities of life. There will be setbacks, and resources will sometimes be limited. However, the difference lies in how we approach them. With an abundance mindset, we view setbacks as temporary roadblocks, not insurmountable walls. We believe in our ability to find solutions and navigate challenges because we trust in the inherent flow of possibilities.

Ultimately, going into abundance is about unlocking a deeper sense of fulfillment. It’s about recognizing the vastness of potential within ourselves and the world around us. It’s about stepping out of the fear of scarcity and into the vibrant embrace of possibility, where our dreams can flourish, and our lives can overflow with the richness we deserve.

Going into Abundance: Practical Steps for a Mindshift

The journey to abundance goes beyond theoretical understanding. Here are some practical steps to cultivate an abundant mindset in your daily life:

Declutter Your Space, Declutter Your Mind: Physical clutter can create a feeling of stagnation. Dedicate time to tidy your surroundings and let go of possessions that no longer serve you. This act of releasing can translate into mental decluttering, creating space for new possibilities and fostering a sense of lightness.

Practice Generosity: Giving back, whether through volunteering your time, offering a helping hand, or simply expressing genuine appreciation, reinforces the idea of abundance. By giving freely, you tap into the universal flow of energy and open yourself to receiving even more.

Embrace Continuous Learning: Abundance thrives on growth. Invest in learning new skills, exploring different perspectives, and challenging yourself mentally. This not only expands your skillset but also reinforces the belief that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to.

Celebrate Small Wins: The path to abundance is paved with small steps. Acknowledge and celebrate your daily victories, no matter how seemingly insignificant. This keeps your motivation high and reinforces the positive momentum of growth.

Visualize Your Success: Take time to vividly imagine your desired outcomes. See yourself achieving your goals, experiencing joy, and living a life overflowing with abundance. This visualization acts as a powerful magnet, drawing your intentions closer to reality.

Remember, this shift in mindset is a continuous practice. There will be days when scarcity creeps back in. But with consistent effort and these practical tools, you can cultivate a lasting belief in abundance. As you do, you’ll not only experience a personal transformation but also inspire those around you to embrace a world of infinite possibilities.

Going into Abundance: Beyond the Individual

The transformative power of an abundance mindset extends far beyond the individual. When we operate from a place of abundance, we contribute to a more positive and collaborative world. Here’s how:

Building a Ripple Effect: Abundance thrives on connection. By sharing our resources, knowledge, and support with others, we create a ripple effect of generosity. This fosters a sense of community and belonging, where everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential.

Empowering Collaboration: In a scarcity mindset, collaboration can feel like a competition for limited resources. However, with an abundance mindset, we understand that working together multiplies possibilities. We can celebrate each other’s strengths, share ideas openly, and create solutions that benefit everyone involved.

Inspiring Generosity: Living a life of abundance naturally inspires others to embrace the same philosophy. When we are open-handed and supportive, it encourages a spirit of giving within our communities. This creates a more sustainable and equitable world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Countering Envy and Resentment: The abundance mindset fosters a sense of joy for others’ successes. We understand that someone else’s win doesn’t diminish our potential. This eliminates the destructive emotions of envy and resentment, creating a more positive and supportive social environment.

    A Call to Abundance:

Shifting to an abundance mindset is not a selfish pursuit; it’s a call to create a world overflowing with opportunity for all. By embracing this philosophy, we can foster a future where collaboration thrives, generosity becomes the norm, and everyone has the resources they need to reach their full potential. Let us go forth, not with a clenched fist fearing scarcity, but with open arms, ready to receive and share the abundance that life has to offer.

  • The Aha Moment!!!!!!

When do you feel most productive?

    Ah.. The moonlight!

I generally feel very productive after a good night’s sleep as I start my day with a nice hot cup of coffee. The initial hours of the day is when most of the new ideas start crowding my mind like chirping birds – every little bird wanting to sing their own little song into my over-thinking mind.

Then at some point after a couple hours into the day anxiety kicks in. That’s when I choose to do most of my important work. Since I have high-functioning anxiety – work and anxiety for me go hand in hand.

I crash after the coffee and couple of ours of productivity have exhausted my mind and my brain. That’s when I choose to take a nap which is a fairly new habit that I got into after I got COVID.

The afternoon nap is not always successful. Sometimes I just try to catch a few winks with no luck and then just get on with my day in my exhausted state.

But then there are times when I do catch a successful power nap. And then once I wake up from my siesta is when I feel the most productive!!

I can go on until late in the night, especially after a good power nap in the afternoon. Sometimes even until the wee hours of the morning keeping my productivity pretty intact the whole time!

There is something about moonlight that fosters creativity. The intuition is at its peak. Ideas blossom like the spring and writing takes a very different flavor.

I am pretty sure this is the routine of most nocturnals!

The late-night hours after 11 pm are a magical time…

  • Are we really okay with the way we look in the mirror?

Are we really okay with the way we look in the mirror?

Coming to terms with the mirror – Part 1

Getting ready for summer is a great time to come out of our beginning-of-new-year hibernation that usually starts 8-10 days after we start working on our resolutions.

At the break of the first ray of light as we come out of the fog and start shedding our jackets we take one real look in the mirror and confront with our unfiltered versions.

While it feels good to say, “I have come to terms with my ‘lewks’..” how many of us really feel that?

I still fall in the bucket of the latter where it feels right to come to terms with my body but it just doesn’t feel right yet! Everyday feels like a constant battle between me and that image in the mirror who triggers me every morning.

So how can we handle this conversation with ourselves better?

How can we battle the darkness within when all we are constantly exposed to is a social media with glamor and filters to remind us of our warts and blemishes?

Is running away from social media the only option?

I am still pondering on this one.…

    (Continued from Part 2…)

    15. The Sacred Quest for Oneness:

Deep within myself, I always wanted to feel connected to everything around me. When I read “A Year of Miracles” by Marianne Williamson, I learned about unity—how we’re all part of one big picture. With her help, I started a journey of meditation and thinking deeply. It helped me see that the things that made me feel separate from others were just in my mind.

In quiet moments, I felt like everything was connected. I realized we’re all like pieces of a puzzle, each one important and linked to the others. This understanding made me feel peaceful and happy. It also made me want to treat everyone with kindness and love.

Now, as I keep exploring life and growing, I remember this idea of unity. It reminds me that we’re all in this together, and it fills me with a sense of belonging and purpose.

Every day, I try to live with this idea of unity in mind. I remind myself that we’re all connected, even when things seem tough or confusing. This understanding helps me feel more compassionate towards others and myself. It’s like a guiding light that keeps me going, even when life gets challenging.

I’ve learned that unity isn’t just a big, abstract idea—it’s something I can feel and experience in everyday moments. Whether it’s sharing a smile with a stranger or lending a helping hand to a friend, I see the beauty of unity all around me.

As I continue on my journey, I hold onto the belief that unity is the key to a happier, more fulfilling life. And with each step I take, I’m grateful for the wisdom I’ve gained from “A Year of Miracles” and the transformative power of unity it has shown me.

In the sacred tapestry of “A Year of Miracles,” the seeker embarks upon a pilgrimage into the depths of the soul, wherein every moment becomes a sacred communion with the divine.

Through the sacred rites of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, the seeker unveils the radiant splendor of the divine presence that resides within, illuminating the path to enlightenment and divine communion.

    16. The Sacred Dance of Letting Go:

In the quiet corners of my heart, I’ve always held onto things tightly—fears, doubts, and even past mistakes. But when I came across “A Year of Miracles” by Marianne Williamson, I learned about the transformative power of letting go.

With Williamson’s guidance, I began to understand that holding onto things too tightly only weighs me down. So, I decided to embark on a journey of surrender—a mystical dance of releasing the burdens I’ve been carrying.

It wasn’t easy at first. I had to confront my fears and insecurities head-on, but with each step, I felt lighter and freer. I learned to trust in the flow of life and let go of the need to control every outcome.

As I surrendered, I felt a profound sense of peace wash over me. I realized that by letting go, I was making space for new opportunities and blessings to enter my life.

Now, I continue to practice the art of letting go every day. Whether it’s forgiving myself for past mistakes or relinquishing control over the future, I find solace in the transformative power of surrender.

In the sacred teachings of “A Year of Miracles,” I discovered that true liberation comes from releasing the grip of the past and embracing the beauty of the present moment. And in the mystical dance of letting go, I found a path to freedom and inner peace that I never knew existed.

With each moment of surrender, I feel more aligned with the flow of life and more connected to the divine presence within me. It’s like shedding layers of armor that I’ve carried for so long, allowing my true essence to shine through.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that letting go doesn’t mean giving up or being passive. Instead, it’s about trusting in the wisdom of the universe and allowing things to unfold naturally. It’s about releasing attachment to outcomes and surrendering to the higher purpose that guides us all.

As I continue to dance the mystical dance of letting go, I find myself more open to the beauty and magic of life. I’m able to appreciate the present moment fully, knowing that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

In the sacred teachings of “A Year of Miracles,” I’ve discovered that surrender is not a sign of weakness, but a courageous act of faith. It’s a reminder that we are supported and guided every step of the way, even when we can’t see the path ahead.

And so, I embrace the mystical dance of letting go with open arms, knowing that it leads me closer to my true self and the divine presence that resides within.

In the sacred sanctuary of surrender, the seeker finds liberation from the shackles of ego, embracing the boundless freedom that comes from aligning with the divine will.

    17. The Sacred Embrace of Divine Timing:

In the hustle and bustle of my daily life, I often found myself feeling impatient and frustrated, constantly striving to make things happen according to my timeline. However, when I delved into the teachings of “A Year of Miracles” by Marianne Williamson, I encountered the profound wisdom of divine timing.

With Williamson’s guidance, I began to understand that there is a mystical orchestration at play in the universe—an intricate dance of timing that is beyond my control. So, I embarked on a journey of patience and trust, learning to attune my heart to the divine rhythm of timing.

At first, it wasn’t easy. I struggled to let go of my need to control every aspect of my life and surrender to the flow of divine providence. But as I practiced patience and trust, I began to notice a subtle shift within me.

I started to see that things were unfolding in their own perfect time, even if it didn’t align with my plans. Opportunities arose when I least expected them, and challenges resolved themselves in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Through this journey, I learned to surrender to the sacred unfolding of divine timing, trusting that everything was happening exactly as it should. I found peace in knowing that I was being guided by a higher power, and that I didn’t have to have all the answers or control every outcome.

Now, I live each day with a sense of patience and trust, knowing that the universe has its own perfect timing. I embrace the divine rhythm of timing, surrendering to the flow of life and allowing things to unfold naturally.

In the sacred verses of “A Year of Miracles,” I discovered the profound wisdom of divine timing—a reminder that everything happens in its own time, and that there is beauty in surrendering to the divine orchestration of the universe.

With each passing day, I find myself more attuned to the subtle whispers of the universe, guiding me along the path of divine timing. I’ve learned to trust in the process, knowing that even in moments of uncertainty, there is a higher purpose at work.

Through the practice of patience and trust, I’ve experienced a newfound sense of peace and serenity. Instead of constantly striving and pushing against the current, I now flow with the rhythm of life, allowing myself to be carried by the currents of divine providence.

In embracing the wisdom of divine timing, I’ve discovered a profound sense of freedom. I no longer feel the need to rush or force outcomes, but instead, I surrender to the natural ebb and flow of life, trusting that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

As I continue on this journey, I am filled with gratitude for the teachings of “A Year of Miracles” and the transformative power of divine timing. Each day brings new opportunities for growth and expansion, and I am grateful to be guided by the wisdom of the universe every step of the way.

    18. The Sacred Communion with Nature:

In the whispers of the wind and the gentle rustle of leaves, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the natural world around me. But it wasn’t until I immersed myself in the teachings of “A Year of Miracles” by Marianne Williamson that I truly understood the sacred wisdom of nature.

With Williamson’s guidance, I embarked on a journey of reverence and awe, learning to commune with the divine presence that animates all of creation. I found solace in the sacred embrace of Mother Earth, feeling her nurturing energy envelop me like a warm embrace.

As I spent more time in nature, I began to notice the subtle miracles unfolding all around me—the intricate patterns of a spider’s web, the vibrant colors of a sunset, the gentle rhythm of waves crashing against the shore. Each moment felt like a sacred encounter, a reminder of the divine beauty that surrounds us every day.

Through the practice of reverence and awe, I learned to see the world with new eyes, filled with wonder and gratitude for the miracles of creation. I found peace in knowing that I was part of something much larger than myself, connected to all living beings in a web of divine interconnectedness.

Now, I seek out moments of communion with nature whenever I can, finding solace and inspiration in her timeless wisdom. Whether it’s taking a walk in the woods, watching the stars twinkle in the night sky, or simply feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin, I am reminded of the sacredness of life and the beauty of existence.

In the sacred tapestry of “A Year of Miracles,” I discovered the transformative power of connecting with the wisdom of nature. And in the sacred embrace of Mother Earth, I found a source of strength, healing, and inspiration that continues to nourish my soul every day.

Through practices of meditation, introspection, and contemplation, I delved deep into the recesses of my being, confronting the shadows and illusions that had kept me from recognizing my true essence. It was a journey of courage and vulnerability, as I faced aspects of myself that I had long ignored or denied.

In the sacred silence of my heart, I found solace and serenity, knowing that I was always held in the loving embrace of something greater than myself. It was a realization that brought me a sense of peace and wholeness that I had never experienced before.

Through the journey of self-realization, I discovered that the truth I had been seeking was not outside of myself, but within. What’s on my mind? Let’s see..

What topics do you like to discuss?

    Sex.

    There I said it.

In today’s day and age discussing sex is hardly a taboo. Yet, most of us find it hard to talk about sex. To say the word. To say it out loud. Even to ourselves.

There is always judgment involved. There is always walking around eggshells.

Somebody’s ego gets hurt. While somebody else gets offended.

So the question is. How can we talk about sex without really talking about it?

What’s the right way to deal with this subject?

How do we talk about painful intercourse? And erectile dysfunction. Or maybe pre-mature ejaculation anyone?

Then there is sex post-menopause and sex after forty.

All very important topics to discuss. Are we talking about all this? I really hope we do.

  • Does a healthy account balance reduce your stress level? Part I

Does a healthy account balance reduce your stress level? Part I

    Yes and No!

In 2018 a couple of years into my dream job, I moved into my dream apartment.

Life had seen its highs and lows in terms of money by then. There had been times when I lived paycheck to paycheck and struggled to pay my bills. The stress of a depleting account balance had a cumulative effect, in that, it kept me tied to a stressful job and added to the stress of living in an expensive city.

All that changed after I got my dream job. After getting a pay hike and a sizeable bonus I started feeling the bliss of a steadily growing bank balance. The reduced stress from my finances brought in a huge spurt of quality into my life and existence.

But my needs and wants kept growing. I was not satisfied with a stress less existence. I wanted more- more money in my bank, better apartment, better life.

So come 2018 – 1.5 years into my dream job I moved into a fancy new apartment. It was bigger, more beautiful. With a bigger apartment came bigger aspirations.

I wanted better furniture, fancier things, fancier people in my circle. With it came added bills and added frills to my existence.

And with these added bills my bank account went back to a steady depletion.

A year into a fancier life, I realized – I had gone back to living a stressful life. The stress added to my work. And what was once a dream job felt like a dreadful place again.

So did a healthy account balance reduce the stress in my life? You tell me.

The lesson I learned from this was simple – stress is pretty man-made. A bank account mostly adds to it. A healthy way to deal with stress is to deal with the intricacies of being human and learn the lessons coming from a lived experience.
