Kay’s Books
Hi everyone, I’m Kay! I wear many hats: blogger, novelist, and dreamer. Above all, though, I’m a dog mom who lives for cuddles and adventures with my furry best friend.
My debut novel series, “Diary of Cliches,” is more than just another book. It is a deep dive into my personal experiences – a cathartic process that evolved into an interactive tool guiding readers towards self-discovery. ‘Diary of Cliches’ is no ordinary memoir. It tells the tale of my personal transformation, intricately laced with my trials and triumphs in relationships, emotional well-being, and personal growth.
So, come join me on this journey! Let’s unleash our inner dreamers together. In my latest series – The Adventures of Sauli The Rescue Pup – Meet Sauli—the fearless, mischievous rescue pup with a heart of gold!
In The Adventures of Sauli the Rescue Pup, I share the whirlwind journey of adopting Sauli—from our chaotic first weekend in a hotel room, to a globe-spanning crate ride across continents, and now to wild city escapades in San Francisco and Mumbai. This illustrated book series is my love letter to the beautiful mess that is rescue parenting—full of laughter, disasters, growth, and unconditional love. Whether she’s outsmarting daycares or leading doggy revolts, Sauli teaches us that even the most unexpected companions can change your life forever.
In my memoir, About Life Choices and Potholes, I explore broken marriages, failed relationships, and fleeting flings—not to dwell on loss, but to celebrate the empowerment that comes from navigating life’s twists and turns.
In Diary of Clichés, I take a lighter, humorous, and deeply authentic look at self-discovery, setting boundaries, and dating with intention. And with my Beautiful Men series, I explore the magic of human connection: The Dog Walker captures love and loss in everyday encounters, while The Chef unfolds in the intimacy of the kitchen. More stories in the series are on the way, each celebrating friendship, vulnerability, and the ways relationships transform us.
Through all my work, I write with honesty, humor, and heart—believing that even life’s potholes can lead us somewhere unexpectedly beautiful if we keep moving forward.
Come along for the ride—one paw at a time.

A graduate of Harvard Business School’s analytics program and a lifelong advocate for sustainability and animal welfare, Kay Jay believes that the right book at the right moment can change the way we live, love, and lead.
When she’s not writing, she’s walking rescue dogs, planting metaphors in messy notebooks, or sipping chai under a banyan tree.
“I write stories for thinkers, feelers, and the ones who never stopped wondering — or wagging their tails.”
