What’s on my mind? Let’s see..

What topics do you like to discuss?

Sex.

There I said it.

In today’s day and age discussing sex is hardly a taboo. Yet, most of us find it hard to talk about sex. To say the word. To say it out loud. Even to ourselves.

There is always judgment involved. There is always walking around eggshells.

Somebody’s ego gets hurt. While somebody else gets offended.

So the question is. How can we talk about sex without really talking about it?

What’s the right way to deal with this subject?

How do we talk about painful intercourse? And erectile dysfunction. Or maybe pre-mature ejaculation anyone?

Then there is sex post-menopause and sex after forty.

All very important topics to discuss. Are we talking about all this? I really hope we do.

For me, body language and verbal experience are inextricably linked to sex. Without that, no dual sex.

We should be talking about all these things, but we usually don’t!

So true!! It’s not like people don’t want to, but I guess navigating through the shame around it is what people find the hardest.

Yes, exactly how it is for me.

I guess the only way to deal with any shame attached to a sensitive conversation is to move past it. Once you do, it opens doors for better conversations!! Hope my two cents help!
